If you are traveling with any age of child you must go to the Indianapolis Children’s Museum located in downtown Indy. It is the worlds largest museum for children. There are 4 floors of things to do, see, and play with. There is even a carousel in on the top floor. It covers everything from science to dinosaurs to people in history to the heavenly stars above. While your in Indy check out the Indianapolis Zoo. The zoo houses over 300 animals and has a dolphin show during the day. The Children’s Museum of Evansville is also a great inter active place for children. It teaches them about science, the human body, and lets them play instruments from other countries. Another fun place to go for a range of ages is Carter’s Antique Toy Museum. It is 3 floors of antique toys, arcade games, and has an old time ice cream shop. It even has old bumper cars that you can let your kids ride on.
Science Central in Fort Wayne Indiana is a great place for your
kids to go and get some hands on science experience. They deal with
everything from how weather works to kid friendly chemistry
projects. The whole place is set up for kids to run around and
learn how science really works in their everyday lives. They can
even put their hand prints on the wall of the building become a
part of the building. For some wet and slippery fun the Deepriver
Water Park in Crown Point Indiana, has some of the mid-west’s best
water slides. It also has food stands so you don’t have to leave
the fun to go and eat lunch.
